Request everyone to consider twice before booking hotels via YATRA.com after a harrowing experience recently. I had booked a hotel in advance for my recent trip to Amritsar via this portal and after reaching the hotel was told no rooms are available. The hotel reception categorically stated they they have even confirmed booking via other travel portals a day before my visit where as no confirmation was received from Yatra.com despite booking 3 days in advance.
On calling yatra helpline number I was told that they have arranged an alternate booking for me at another hotel and gave me a random person number of another hotel to call. On calling the number I was told that yatra has not confirmed booking with them as well. Neither did the helpline folks have clue about the kind of room they have booked nor the location of the hotel.
