I recently booked a train ticket through Yatra.com. Since I was using this web site for many years now, I was quite with comfortable doing transactions.
Yesterday I got a call from TATA AIG saying that they got my details from yatra.com and they want to sell me some policy. I was shocked to know that yatra is giving my personal details to other companies.
I immediately called up their helpline to lodge a complain but their customer care was totally useless and was not able to give me any satisfactory answer. I told her to forward to call to some senior person but as expected all of them were BUSY. I was taken aback. I even wrote them a mail asking for explanation but its unanswered. I don't know how to proceed ahead on this. I have taken this matter very seriously since this is how they will float all my details to everybody in the market just for few pennies.
I would request to all of you please do not use this website. They are selling our personal details to other companies because they have made some tie ups. There are other travel portals which are more reliable. So guys beware. never use their website for any transactions. Thy do have a 1 page so called PRIVACY POLICY but they do not abide by it.
Stay away and be safe. It will be real pain otherwise.
