Why not to buy R15 2.0
Dec 08, 2017 02:23 PM 6968 Views (via Android App)

Mileage:

Comfort:

Reliability:

Road Grip:

Appeal:

If anybody is planning to buy Yamaha R15 version 2.0 I would suggest not to go for version 2.0 rather go for the new Yamaha R15 S. The reasons for not buying R15 v2 and to buy R15s are as follows

  1. Pillion Seat

The pillion seat is very annoying and uncomfortable, especially when going on journeys greater than 5km, pillion gets irritated as the seat is really small

  1. Mileage

The milage of R15 V2 is less as compared to the new R15 S as the newer version is 14kg less which adds to the mileage

  1. Body Cowling

Rear cowling under the pillion seat is quite weak in terms of quality , there are chances of getting the cowling loose and detaching from the chassis very often as they are now well intact into the chassis and gets loose with time

( NOTE: I HAVE EXPERIENCED THE SAME PROBLEM)

  1. Top Speed

Due to being 14kg heavier than the R15 s the top speed is also a bit less ( R15 V2 Top Speed= 135km/hr , R15 S Top Speed= 143km/hr approx)

FINAL VERDICT

I own the R15 V2 and my cousin has the R15s model , haven ridden both for a long time I would suggest not to buy R15 V2 rather go for R15s keeping in mind all the above points
