Great bike - but not perfect. Review on Yamaha FZ16

Hi, My name is Harish, from Bangalore. I bought this bike 2 months back and have done around 2000 kms.

*NOW LET ME SHARE MY EXPERIENCE WITH ALL OF YOU.*

*Pickup** is very good compared to other 150/60cc bike even better than pulsar 180(But only the initial pickup after that pulsar 180 clearly wins the scene). But the torque is far better than other bikes. You don't have to bother about shifting gears too often.

*Engine** is smooth and gear shift is steady(Not so smooth but I can assure you that this is solid and will last for a life time)

Because of the design, position and less weight of the headlight console the bike is **very easy to handle in the traffic**.

The **balance** is superb. You will notice the difference if you drive some other bike after riding FZ16 for a week or so. You just need to sit on it the bike will take care of the most part of balancing by itself.And the looks. I dont have to say a word on it. Every one says its just GREAT!

*Fuel consumption** is decent. I am getting 40 kmpl on city conditions. Considering its torque this is a good mileage.

*NOW LET ME COME TO THE PROBLEMS THAT I HAVE FACED.

*First -** saw a small crack in the right front fork but got it replaced by the service station with free of cost.

*Second -** The back seat is creating noise when traveling through bumpy roads as the assembly is not so good. It is a design error from YAMAHA. Very bad.

*Third -** My rear tyre got punctured. My mistake:D

*Fourth -** Digital meter console stopped working. Have contacted YAMAHA guys and they said they will replace it for me. So will do it soon.

*Fifth -** My electric started created problem when I tried to start it after 6 days of keeping it idle. Even the chock didn't helped me. Then I had to'dhakka maarro' my bike to start it:(. Missed a kicker for sometime. But now my bike is fine.

*Top speed -** No matter how hard I try its hardly touching 109 kmph. I have touched 120 kmph in my pulsar dtsi 150 and 117 kmph in my avenger. So this dissapoints me.

*CONCLUSION*

Overall a great bike. Far better than pulsars. Dont expect a power beast as the look says. Its just a better than average in terms of power and top-end speed.

Now no girls are looking at me when riding on this YAMAHA as everybody is eye locked with my beauty beast:(
