Slick Clothing. Review on Yakeen - 2005 - Bollywood

I picked this up due to recommendations by friends.

I didn't like the way Yakeen started...as I'm not fond of car crashes nor songs as starts to my Bollywood movies, but it picked up very quickly. If you can get over the plastic surgery being a perfect science concept (which is popular to Bollywood cinema), then the rest of the film is a charm. Right as you think you've figured out who has done what and how the evil is committed, things flip, and then flip again...and never outlandishly. I have to say that it was directed with a lot of talent and the film never gets boring...which is the worst thing a film can do. Arjun Rampaul and Priyanka Chopra do a nice job with the script they are given. You are asked to believe some odd things in order to move the film along, but it's all reasonable. It's no Veer Zaara...but it's good for passing the time if you're otherwise bored or looking for something to watch. I really appreciated the nice clothing too.
