Gone are the days in which we use to see our mail box size in red ...!!
A few months back there were roumors that there would be end of free email and hotmail and yahoo may be paid services soon...
But when google anounced that it would offer 1 gb or 1000 mb of email space for free to it email users, all the email providers yahoo and hotmail got worried ..
Gmail a mail service from google is currently in beta testing and will be open to public in a couple of months.
Yahoo is the first one to take actions and it went ahead and anounced increase in email space to 100 mb.
The new features yahoo has added are:
1) 100 mb email storage (an increase of 2500 %)
2) Message size up to 10MB
3) Search facility
But since few days there has been a problems in accessing mails ,might be due to the upgradation..
Now these free email providers want users to keep their mails for ever..!!!
But I think this is the beginning..
More players are yet to follow...and the boss (GMAIL from google) has yet to arrive with the 1024 mb space..
