Help & Support:

Bought mine from Pai, marthahlli, bangalore. Looked good and worked fine. until one day, the 7th day of operation, it just stopped. I had put in a double bedsheet. Just 1 piece. I suppose the bedsheet just wrapped itself such that it prevented it from rotating.

result: Motor burnt .

So finally after some days of eager expectation on the promise of customer care that mechanic would be coming between 2 and 6 PM'today', each day, he arrived. Buts thats ok.

He came today, he saw, He said, 'motor gone' and left . I am hoping it gets replaced tomorrow.

Now, come on, you buy even a small kitchen mixer, it comes with an overload protection switch. so if somethign gets stuck, motor is safe.

I just couldn't beleive when I asked if it had an overload protection circuit. He said "NO".

This must be a bigger gameplan, coz I just can't beleive a washing machine company didn't think about a smple overload protection circuit when it was thinking "fuzzy" logic and blah blah.

ok time to go fill my bucket and reach for the surfexcel and rejoice older simpler times.

OK, I came across this post of mine again after long and thought I never wrote what happened after I wrote my mouthshut posting.

it was evening and I thoguth to myself, .How can the motor get burnt? . its makes some sound .moves.but behaves like stuck.Just like what happens to ceiling fans, when its condensor goes short.

So I just peeped under the washing machine, and clearly see there was a  condersor / capacitor and its wire was pulled out. I just put it back in. switched it on! and there it was . back to life.!

So that technician was actually trying to fool me into replacing a new good motor, with whatever he was planning to bring the next day.

Next morning, he arrived, carrying a crompton greaves motor. I told him I fixed it . He didn't say a word. looked at the condensor and left.

AND my machine has been working like a horse every day!  So I am going to increase its rating today.
