Thriller is an exciting genre provided that the plotline keeps you guessing. When that happens to the plotline the thriller movies get exciting. That’s where “Wazir” falls as a movie. You can predict most parts of the plotline except the final twist.

The best part of “Wazir” is its actors. Amitabh is as usual perfect. Farahan is awesome. Aditi is gracious. John and Neil are superb in their respective cameos. And the rest of actors are very good. I have developed a soft corner for the movie as it talks about the plight of a Kashmir Pandit. In a nation of pseudo secularists, hyped liberalists and JNU like universities it takes courage to talk about a Kashmir Pandit.

After watching the movie one may feel the real potential of the story could not be utilized. You won’t be disappointed but may feel something is lacking. Despite its flaws and for my soft corner for the movie I am going with 3 stars out of 5. Because it is still better than trashy action and love stories.
