Farhan Akhtar and Amitabh Bachchan starrer Wazir has reportedly become the first hit of 2016. The thriller drama directed by Bejoy Nambiar has minted Rs 54 crore from the worldwide box office.
Wazir, the first movie of 2016, had a slow start at the domestic box office, but the film managed to do well in its first week and second weekend. With a worldwide box office collection of approximately Rs 54 crore, it has become the first hit film of 2016.
Wazir was made on a budget of approximately Rs 35 crore. The film minted more than its production cost from the worldwide box office in just 10-days. The Farhan-Amitabh starrer earned Rs 36.34 crore from its domestic run, while the overseas box office contributed Rs 17.66 crore, making it a hit movie.
