I had a Vodafone number for 10 years now. Recently I went abroad and didn't use my number. So without any warning they deactivated my number. When asked they said if you don't use Vodafone services for more than 3 months, they deactivate your number.
To reactivate it, I am supposed to go and give them my details, and I did. But they also asked for a secondary number. Their story is that they will contact me on the other number to do an authentication and after that they will issue my old Vodafone number. I waited and waited for 10 days but no one called. When I went back they said they called and the person on the other end said, "There is no one by that name living here."
That was not at all true. So I gave them another number, i.e., my sister's number and again no one called to verify. Its been more than a month and still haven't got my number reactivated. Its time we all boycott Vodafone.
