I started my journey to the mobile world in Oct 2002 with a Hutch connection. Believer of a good friendship, since then I have always kept my cell phone by my side. Within Delhi and NCR, it has lived upto the expectation save a couple of instances where it could not properly receive an sms at my set and encrypted it as . Howsoever hard would I try I could not get to the root of the problem.
The Call centre staff have been nice to talk to, beaming with enthusiasm and full of knowledge. Unfortunately, they also could not do anything about it. Nevertheless, save these hiccups, the journey was apparently smooth. I get a rude shock when I travel outside Delhi. Due to reasons unknown to me, the Roaming facility does not get activated.
I have tried all sorts of methods, including informing the Customer Service of my travel plan, beforehand, but to no avail. I believe, Hutch does it to make me realise its importance when I tour. There the message "SOS calls only" appears to me as "Salt Over Sore". I wish my friend would have held my hand at that time also.
