I had been using a Vodafone connection for the last 5 years with no. 9830227575 and at times have faced with a few billing issues. However January’13 was my worst nightmare and Vodafone’s biggest Scam. I was surprised by receiving a bill of INR 14000 odd amount. I had international Roaming for 1 day on this no. Where in I made 3 calls which were of less than 2 minutes and around 60 KB of data usage. I was well aware of my usage as I had kept a control over things while on roaming.
However Vodafone claimed an unreasonable amount. In accordance to me the bill should not have exceeded INR 2000 but to my surprise this was a case of theft. With Vodafone being 1 of the largest Service providers they also failed to answer to my queries. I called several times and was confirmed by a manager that there were issues at the billing end and that he would get them sorted.
He then later also sent me a bill of INR 2300 stating correct bill. However again my next statement the same amount was added back and making it back to Rs.14000. Since then I have written 13 mails to Vodafone but no one has ever responded to me on the same. I have stopped using the connection and made up my mind to get this sorted before making any payments to Vodafone.
What an end to 5 years of being a customer with Vodafone.
