I think it takes only Gautham menon to get me write something on MS.The last  time I wrote a review was on VA Gautham’ s last film. This time the talented filmmaker returns with a new team of Simbu, Trisha and Rahman. Harris who  has given fantastic music for Gautham’s earlier works is surprisingly missing but   Rahman has given the film  an excellent  score which is truly international in sound is one of the four pillars of VV, the other three being Gautham, Simbu and Trisha.

Coming back to the film this is an intense love story which I don’t  think any filmmaker has shown such clarity in any film .Holding to two characters for 2 hrs plus is not easy attempt but Gautham’ s class is evident in which the story and screenplay are structured. His labor of love obviously inspired from his life is nothing short of visual poetry .Simbu stands out with a restrained performance and Trisha I thought was delightfully natural in her acting. A lot of people are praising her dresses but I thought otherwise. The dresses were not Cosmo enough.  Rahman with a international score hits the bulls eye with aromale, Mannipaya, hosanna, Vinnuthandi and other gems.

Films which move you with are hard to come by and this is absolutely delightful for a cool summer.

Go for it
