Our experience with Goldenbee Global School over the past year has been extremely disappointing and concerning. What initially appeared to be a promising institution has, in our experience, turned into a stressful and unhealthy environment for students. Several capable teachers seem to have left, classroom discipline appears to have weakened, and the overall school atmosphere has noticeably declined, particularly following the change in coordination leadership.
Our child has experienced repeated incidents of bullying. Based on our observations and discussions with other parents, social exclusion and boycotting of students appear to be increasingly common, especially in the higher grades. In a number of cases, students seem to be deliberately isolated by their peers, and while teachers may be aware of the situation, effective intervention appears to be lacking. We are particularly disturbed by instances where students seem to be excluded due to personal differences, academic performance, or perceived religious background.
Given the substantial fees charged by the school, we expected a safe, inclusive, and supportive academic environment. Unfortunately, our experience suggests that the current culture does not reflect these values and has negatively impacted our childs emotional well-being.
There also seem to be serious concerns in the senior grades. Certain groups of students appear to receive preferential treatment, while engaging in bullying and social exclusion that contribute to a toxic atmosphere. Despite apparent awareness, decisive corrective measures do not seem to be implemented.
The effects are reflected in declining academic standards and unsatisfactory board examination results. Senior classes require strong discipline, fairness, and effective leadership qualities that presently appear insufficient.
Based on our experience, we would not recommend this environment for senior students unless significant corrective actions are taken.
