I had taken an interview with Verizon,in chennai and they asked me to appear in person for the final round of interview. For this they asked me to travel on a 2nd class ac train and claim the amount for bothways. After the interview they told me they will let me know the results in a day or two and to get back to bangalore. I waited and after a week they informed (rather I called) that I was not selected for the post. I asked them about the travel amount, which they said they have sent to the finance for payment.
Its more than 2 months now and till date only I call to find the status, but they have neither bothered to reimburse the money nor have the basic courtesy to call and let me know. I have never in my life come across a company like Verizon. iam thanking my stars that I did not get recruited into such a cheap, third rated company. People who are reading this, please be careful when you are taking an interview with them anytime. Even pass on this message to your friends. the HR person whom I was dealing with is a lady by name ramya.x.selvan.
The best thing about this lady was she was bringing in a candidate known to her and was speaking to him in the corridors about the same position I was being interviewed on. She did not know I was so and so and had come for the interview and since I came from Blore, thought I did not understand Tamil. I wish someone in her HR dept reads this and takes corrective steps on her and on the company.
