Good Tours, bad back office staff. Review on Veena World

I was looking for tours for my mother. In the past, a friend of mine had given good review of Kesari's Women's special Thailand tour. So I decided to check out with them first. Turn out they are not organizing any tour specific for women this year & their regular tours were too costly IMO.

So I then approached to Veena World. I found that their tours were very affordable, might be because this is their first year. But I decided to go ahead with them.

I made payment all the payments. But then started all agony. Their back office staff started giving me experience of government office.

They never gave me any information in one go. I used to talk with Mr Rohit Sanas. Though he was a sweet talking person, but it was really painful once all payment was done. First they asked us to get the passport size photographs.  When we went again to submit, they sent us back saying this is not proper size & this time they provided us the specification. If they would have provided all details at first moment that would have saved our time & money. Each time I had to travel total 20km to do all this circus.

If this was not enough, then just 2 weeks before departure of tour, they told us that instead of Visa on Arrival(VoA), they will stamp visa from Mumbai consulate. This time I lost my temper, as they gave me long list of document to collect & get it verified from various agencies. I created a scene in their office & was planning to cancel the tour. Then they proposed some solution to my problems, to which I agreed. Finally I got to know that, after doing all the jingle bell, they did not stamp & will get VoA only. This was an extremely unprofessional experience from Veena World.

It was getting really irritating, as they used to give really lame excuse. Like "We have 300 bookings but only 2 people to call everyone", "We are also human.' Was this really my problem that you have booked more than what Veena World can handle?

Apart from this, actual tour arrangements were amazing. My mother enjoyed her tour & was really happy after returning from the tour.

If you are thinking to book from Veena World, I would advice you to always get all things clarified from back office staff. Get every thing in writing from them. You may get a situation in which they may not treat you seriously unless & until you act tough.
