I dont usually read Vampire related novels because I feel I'm cheating on Twilight so even though I had heard about it I hadn't read it. But after watching the movie version I got interested and read the whole series which I hate to say but I loved.
The story in this first book is about two girls Lissa- a royal Moroi vampire and Rose- a Dhampir who are best friends and have run from their Academy. The story revolves around their love lives and how Lissa is in danger due to her magic and how Rose has to protect her as her soon to be guardian when they are brought back to the Academy.
The book will hook you from the start due to its writing, the powerful character displays, the relationship between characters and everything. It will keep you on toes of what will happen next.
All in all a good read and I will recommend to read the whole series which has total of 6 books.
