One place which serves as good as home food to Keralites in Chembur is Udaya lunch Home. Though not very visible from the Station Road, one usually desires to be back over and over again. Kallumakkai fry is one of the delicasies I relished every time I went there. The ambience has evolved very well in the last 12 years that I have been going there. A recommended place to taste good Kerala Food. Another delicasy is the Appam and Chicken Steaw. Fish in typical Kerala taste is also worth the money. Pricing is very moderate and a visit there will never be a burden to your wallet compared to the food cost in comparable hotels in Chembur. You will also find a good number of non-malayalees relishing Keralite food over there. Veg. thali along with non-veg side dish works out a very tasty and economical combination. Weekends are always a problem as the waiting period to get seats runs from 15mins to 30 mins.
