Have used Uber from the start and loved it. Of late things have changed. Many of the drivers are newbies who follow GPS and have no clue on recently enforced traffic adjustments due to construction. They do not take advice offered resulting in huge delays. One of them shot past the international airport after I had asked him if he knew the turn off for T2 / international airport. He said yes, and I settled to taking a call, only to have a 15 minute delay results from having to U turn back in heavy traffic.
Worse . their app has started malfunctioning, often showing your pick up location as being a mile or more away. Talking to the driver does not help if he is a newbie because he insists in following the app.
I cancelled a ride because of this and was charged. If you have the opportunity, you will find addressing a grievance with UBER is time consuming.
My wife heard me mumbling and told me she had shifted over to OLA a long while back, for the same reason.(one always looses by not constantly asking the wife or mother / mother in law, for advice.)
I shifted to OLA and another private taxi service available on call.
If I have a problem I do not want to face something like an a govt office response.
