That's exactly how Uber has been treating customers now. When they launched their services in Bangalore they used to run after customers as they were competing against Ola, Meru n Taxi4sure. But now as they have a healthy customer base they are making customers run after the cab. I had a couple of such horrible experiences very recently and one happened just today. I booked a cab for railway station two hours prior to departure thinking it was sufficient enough to make it on time. I was kept waiting for half n hour for the cab and I called the driver 3 to 4 times to know about his whereabouts and every time he answered he was just there. I could see he was close and provided him with a landmark as well. But to my surprise he just passed by me and when I called him to get back he went further away. I had to cancel the booking and get an auto. I somehow made it on time just when my train was about to leave and that too with a lot of harassment. I had to pay the auto almost double of the cab fare. If you think this is too much and the worst part was Uber charged me 50 for cancelling. I will definitely not recommend anyone for Uber. I was the worst ever experience for me.
