Our driver suddenly went off for leave. I don't fancy driving in maddening traffic of Mumbai and hence was in a fix on how to commute.
We have tried Ola and Tab before and been thoroughly disappointed with the suboptimal service with bad attitude.
We live in JVLR, Andheri(E) and getting a auto to go to office at Chakala is an experience in getting disappointed an loosing self-respect.
So thought that would give Uber a try. Was pleasantly surprised that a clean, air-conditioned cap was at our door stop in 15 minute. That was on Monday and since then we have used it every day to commute to office and come back to home. We have never been disappointed. It is also useful that upfront you can decide if the fare is fair and so there is no surprise with it,
We have even used on last Saturday to go to Kandivilli for a party and came back at around 2am. We got the cab promptly both the times and what was most pleasant surprise was that the fare was much lower that what we had paid Tab cab before.
So Im highly satisfied till now and this is my trial. Depending on that, I think I will ditch the personal car and driver and use Uber fulltime for all everyday transportation requirements.
