Today I had a horrible experiencw with Uber Cabs. I was travelling from Bellandur to Bangalore Airport. It was already peak traffic hours and the fare suggested was 1000-1400. The total distance is around 49 kms.
When the trip was completed the cabbie calmly produces a bill of 3142 INR! and gives peak traffic and huge surcharge as an excuse.
Though I has a bad tiff with the guy and his supervisor and also, paid only 1400 INR as was mentioned to me initially, I am intending to go to consumer court withall the proofs and once that is sorted, to deactivate my Uber account.
Since in transit, I am not able to upload the screenshots as proofs but would definitely do that once I reach. The same I will produce as proof in consumer court when I file the case against them.
However, I am using Uber after a long time and I definitely see that their services have deteriorated tremendously. I will leave it to your best judgement to use Uber in the future but as far as my opinion goes, I am sure nobody wants to be robbed with a pretense of surcharge in this manner and would definitely boycott Uber like me if they face a similar situation.
