You could say the love for vampire lore runs in my blood. Like my father, I have read books on the subject and watched several movies. And now after watching twilight, I have to say that coppola's dracula is by far the best on this subject, though interview with a vampire and underworld come close.

The hype around twilight was quite unavoidable. What with its raking in so much money. So, courtesy big flix, I had the dvd delivered to my doorstep one afternoon. Having waited all day to catch the flick, I hardly expected the huge disappointment when I started watching the movie. The word inane comes to my mind again and again.

The interaction between kirsten's character bella and her friends in school is is as trite as trite can get. The 3 villains are as mild as house cats. James chasing bella hardly gets your pulse racing and the climax is like a bottle of beer opened and forgotten till the next morning. I am definitely not going to watch the next one in this series. So is this movie as successful as the studio makes it to be or is it all another marketing ploy?
