I am having TVS STAR DLX 2005 Model.I thought of write my experience after driving almost 4+ year.It has same engine as star city is using.

I would like to share my experience using this bike.

Quality of Engine TVS bikes except Apache is really poor.I got engine problem in 1st 9000 Km itself and they replace the Head assembly and after that I never got the original engine timing at all. After one year , mileage came down from 70 to 58 and now I am getting 50 KM/L.No resale value at all.I paid almost 39+ to buy this one.One thing is very good with this bike is the driving comfort. After riding 50+ Km also, tiredness is very less.I maintained my bike like anything but I am not very satisfied.

In my opinion this bike is not value for money.I could have gone with Proven HH which has long lasting robust engine and good resale value. My brother has bought last Q tr. New HH Passion Pro and I feel it is awesome for normal commuter.Off course it is not a sport bike. We middle class people are users for these vehicles and hence before investing hard earned money, have a proper analysis and get the proven long lasting bike.

In my analysis Top Engine manufacturer's are Honda (Shine & Unicorn).Suzuki, Hero Honda.

If power user - go for Unicorn or Suzuki GS 150 R

If young college goer - go for Honda CB Twister - looking for style

If looking for commuter vehicle - middle class - HH Passion Pro
