I bought TVS Centra in 2004 and as if now I have completed the journey of 4 yrs. with my bike. I had some problem during the 1st year in my bike related to piston, as it was knocking and making unusual sound. I had logged complaint and my piston was replaced free of cost due to warranty period. But after 3 yrs. again that knocking problem has started and it refects there is some critical problem with the engine and its technology.Generally, bike engines are robust and they dont need any engine overhauling upto a lakh kms. certainly am very disappointed with the engine of the bike and investing 42k, 3 yrs back. TVS motors should rather be responsible for such things providing bikes, engines, technology whatever.
Not only that there is starting problem during cold start and it makes me feel more sad to go beyond with my bike. Am satisfied with this bike only till when fuel consumption and comfort level is concerned but thats not enough. Bike engine function like a major component and if that component is not able to sustain then there is no point of survival as far as buyer or seller is concerned.
