Trident Renault Bangalore - Expect poor service.

Hi All


I have been interacting with Trident Renault in Bangalore since 3rd week of December. I bought Duster in Jan. The car is in excellent shape, however my experience with Trident Renault has been horrible. (right from pre-sales, sales & after service) If it was not for Duster, I would have gone for another dealer.


I had got the car through JP Nagar branch. It is a new showroom and most of the sales folks are very new and they don't know much about the car they are selling. Starting from test drive till I got the car, I had to followup multiple times to make things happen. Since I took the car through lease, there were additional steps to be done and the consultant was not aware of the process. After a long painful followup, I got the car finally.


At the time of buying car, I fixed some accessories and after the first service I found some issues in the rear bumper guard. Since the service center is far from office, I wanted to find out from the service folks when I can bring the car. I had to make 10 calls to different people and it was a passing the buck game. No one helped me out.


Finally the guy from whom I got accessory  said you go there it will be fixed. I went there and alas the service guy says it is not their product so I have to get it fixed through the OEM! I then made some hue & cry and the customer service manager helped in getting a temporary fix for the issue. I was then told that the OEM service person will call me to fix an appointment. It is the 3rd day now and I nothing has happened.


Looking back at my experience, my position is this:

  • If you want a Duster and if you buy through Trident, you should be prepared for poor customer service.

  • Don't buy non-Renault accessories at the showroom. As it happened in my case, the dealer will not help you and you will be waiting forever to get it fixed.

  • If you have options to buy Duster through other dealers and if you find the dealer good, go for it.

-If you are in Bangalore, you have no other option other than Trident. They have multiple showrooms. Try visiting all of them before choosing the one through which you want to buy.


-if you find a better car than Duster, go for it.
