I upgraded to Hyundai Getz from my Alto couple of months ago. I decided to buy the car from Trident Hyundai, Hosur Road.
The guy who looks after the purchase (of my Alto) Mr Prasanna assured me that the exchange bonus of Rs. 10, 000 will reach us after a month/or immediately after the delivery of NOC. I had some trouble in getting the NOC but did so after 5 weeks.
It has been 3 weeks since then and I am yet to get the cheque. When asked Prasanna told me that the car is still being sold as there was delay in NOC. (By the way the exchange bonus was not on the condition of the car being sold).
Accidentally we came to know that the car has already been sold and Mr. Prasanna has been giving me stories. You need to be careful about this guy's integrity.
If any of you are going for an exchange you can ask for the cheque (post dated if required) immediately before the NOC is given to them. They can take you for a ride otherwise. At the end of 4 weeks they say that it will be done in the next week.
