This is my experience with Travelocity wesbite for airline booking. They had the best rates so I went ahead and booked thru them. I wanted an invoice which they don't send along with the mail having e-ticket( like say makemytrip) I immediately mailed their customer care for the invoice. I get a response stating the request has been passed on to "concerned department" and they will revert once this department sends the invoice.


Thats was fine and I was okie to wait though same mail when I send to makemytrip and I got invoice within minutes on mail.


After a week of waiting, I start sending reminders and these reminders dont even have any auto acknowledgement mail to them( that made me think suspiciously) I then call up the call center no( all this while I was out of India and was making international calls to their India nos)


They say same answer "the request has been passed on to "concerned department" and they will revert once this department sends the invoice."


I dont know whether this department was in other solar system or other galaxy that it was taking them more than 10 days.


On asking why I didnt get response on mail, I was told the person handling my request has left job and they cannot check his mail box. All tihs while I was sending mails to customer care mail id and not to a specific person, then how come this issue of not accessing mails.


Also when I asked dont they have any "transfer of responsibility" when someone leaves the job, no answer given.


Then after this 7 more days passed and I get a mail stating invoice was already sent( which never was)


Say even if it was sent, cant they resend a copy again? Make my trip sends invoice along with e-ticket. I missed that attachement, sent them a request of invoice, and they send me again. So whats big deal in sending it.


Seems its all fishy deals within travelocity. no process nothing.


I promptly shifted to makemytrip for my next booking and happy with their service( even if I pay 100 bucks extra its worth all this pain)


This flight I booked thru travelocity finally got cancelled so now I have initiated refund. I hope this will be done properly as I want my money back.


So finally I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND travelocity to anyone.
