Working in a software company had made my life drab and dull. I was on the look for some source of entertainment. Thought that MP3 player would be a good deal, as I also had lot of travelling to do. After much research I shortlisted Ipod mini (4GB), Sony n/w player and a samsung player. Transcend T610 was not in the picture at all. Then I saw it with one of my friends. I bought it instantly.
The best thing about this product is it's value for money. In some 5,500 bucks you can get quality offered by samsung and sony.Comparing it with the other players, in this price one can get Ipod Shuffle 512MB(without FM), Iriver N70(256 MB), Sony n/w (256 MB).
It has brightly lit OLED screen(not found in almost any player). A capacity of 1GB means that I don't have to change the songs frequently. I can have my all time favourite songs any time. Also, it works just as a flash memory of 1GB. You can store and access your data. The transcend sonic T610 doesn't need a driver when using it with XP. Also a unique feature of FM recording is available where you can record your favourite song from any of the 20 radio channels that can be set.

The player is relavtively easy to operate and carry. It weighs just about 28 grams and gives a really funky look. You really cannot believe it to store 1GB of data.
Sound quality is pretty good and you would be often lost in the music. One year replacement warranty is another attractor.
The battery back up time is short as compared to some of the other player i.e. about 14-16 hours of continous play of music. But the charging is very quick. Within 2-2.5 hours the battery can be charged from 0-full.
It can be charged only through USB and hence sometimes can be problematic when going for long breaks.
All in all Transcend T610 is a great deal and is ready to soothe your ears.
