Toyota wants to move away from the taxi maker tag it was getting due to the Qualis. Innova is not to give Indians a more modern car but help the company gain a more up-market image. Toyata should know Mercedes cars are used for taxi in Germany. Innova is overpriced so gone out of most people?s budget, most taxi owners may switch to Tavera.
Innova is multi-purpose vehicles that Toyota hopes will appeal to vast range of customers. Nice looks and styling design but Van-like proportions not to all. In first look its looks like big version of Indigo Marina. Driving in city it does feel large but is drivable once you are used to bulk. Its twin compressors and blowers for every passenger, to be chiller, but large volume of the cabin meant it took time to cool.
