I have purchased Toshiba Canvio Basics 5 months ago. At first 1-2 months it worked great but after that I felt some noise also the speed of read and write is decreased. I tried to go to their support but it have terrible customer support for this section. They just denied that problem only told me that You getting the data also you are able to write the data that means your hard drive is working correctly. Not it is not working and again facing bad customer service experience. I will suggest go for 400-500 extra and get a good hard drive from segate or WD element. I thought it would be good as they are most reknowned hard disk manufacturer. But my assumption was wrong.
