Godrej wood borer treatment- a health hazard
Dec 27, 2007 07:56 PM 6039 Views

We had wood borer treatment done by Godrej for our cabinets in May 2007 and August 2007. We were told that the chemicals are non toxic. This is not true as I have been having sporadic nose bleeds that has been diagnosed as a severe allergic reaction to the strong smell that has been emanating from the cupboards and is still persisting even after three months of the last treatment.

Everything in the cupboards smells of the pesticide. Godrej must not mislead its customers. We also found that their staff is not provided with basic equipment like gloves and masks. Godrej is exposing their staff to serious health hazards as they inhale these dangerous chemicals every day. The staff does not follow any standard procedure regarding the amount of chemical to be sprayed .

The Research and Development team of godrej must make their studies that claim the non toxicity of these chemicals, available to the public. They must take a serious note of the feed back from their customers and continue their research to ensure that the customers' and their staff's health is not jeopardised. I  intend taking Godrej to the Consumer court.
