I travelled to Europe by thomas cook with my family few years back. It was one of the best experience we ever have had. The manager was highly educated very polite & decent man.He followed the itinery word by word. Hotel accomodations were all good & itinery was great.
Compared to this, I had a very bad experience on my tour to SEAsian countries singapore, thailand, malaysia. The managers at malaysia were worse & fought with nearly everybody in the tour. The thailand manager was arrogant & he had his own agenda on tour & deviated completely from what was written on the brochure. The worse, we reached bangkok hotel in the morning at 7:30 in the morning. The company had booked hotel only after 12 o-clock to save on one day hotel charges. So 40 people were in hotel lounge for over 4 hours. Many of us had to sit on floors as the hotel lounge cannot be expected to accomodate so many people in waiting. We had to use common toilets in the lounge for morning rituals.
US tour was below average. The hotel accomodations were not upto the marks in many places. In respect of one place it was a clear case of cheating when we were put up in a hotel whitcomb against Hotel Hilton as was mentioned on brochure. The itinery of sight seeing was not great. the travelling time was badly designed. We had a morning alarm at 2 O' clock at washington to board morning flight.
