Shabana Azmi Rocks. Shabana Azmi as Ruksana strikes gold again. Shabana Azmi artfully displays a powerful range of emotions in this story, and we are greeted once again with the talents of the ultimate professional. She takes her supporting cast along for the ride, a ride from which we never want to descend. Shabana Azmi as Ruksana is a woman who is confronted with many choices. Choices that will affect every significant relationship in her life. Ruksana must effectively manage her relationship with her family, her fame, and her fate. She is confronted with many difficult choices, and being human, for those she loves her decisions are not always considered to be correct. I loved this movie! Shabana Azmi has been away for awhile, and this her first step back is powerful. Urmila Matondkar, Arjun Rampal, and Dia Mirza are a fine supporting cast. The music is beautiful and wonderfully animated by the Actors interpretations. This movie highlights how we view life in the vacuum that we create. We think that it is love of other's, but as is indicated in this movie, it is usually what we believe is right for ourselves. We want our Mother's love, but what must we do to earn it. And if she gives it freely, how do we repay our gratitude?
