This year, I submitted by tax returns through taxsmile.com and I was hugely impressed with the quickness with which I was able to file my returns.
I just had to register on their site, fill in my details and submit them. Within a day my IT returns were e-filed with IT department and I received my ITR-V form. This ITR-V form, I had to sign and submit with TaxSmile people who further took care of submitting it physically with IT department. Luckily, I had TaxSmile representative sitting in my company. So didn't face any trouble in submitting that too. But, otherwise too, it is fairly simple. The fee for this whole process was quite nominal i.e. just 125/- but I don't have to worry about finding a tax consultant and giving him anything between 250-300 to file my returns.
My returns were file in time and without any worries. If you don't want to pay the above mentioned 125/- also, you can directly go to the IT department site and e-file the returns yourself. But the simple UI of taxsmile.com makes the process much easier.
