These guys make it very easy to add packages/channels (SMS or online). But removing packages is not at all easy. I had to order Star Cricket recently to watch the T20 world cup and did so quite easily using SMS. But now when I want to remove the package, the SMS option does not exist. Nor can you go online to remove the package.
So I called the help desk and they tell me that I have to call exactly 30 days from when I ordered to remove the package. Their "system" allows removing packages only after 30 days. So now, its upto me to remember to call these wackos on July 7th. What a rip-off. Surely, if they can implement methods to add channels at will, they can allow one to drop channels as well.
And now, the West Indies series is going to be telecast on Ten Sports - which means I will have to go through the same process again. Cable was much better - Unfortunately, in our society, these guys got an exclusive deal to power the entire society - now we are stuck.Unfair trade practices at best. Doesnt live up to the TATA name.
