When I bought tata sky dth for first time, I was not aware of the quality and I was a little nervous of charges. I was in opinion of mine that this will cost me more than my existing set top box.
When I called customer care, there reply was very quick and people came to my house and assembled the connection within hour. The quality when I saw on my led tv was amazing, it was only basic connection a d I had not opted hd channels, but even then the picture quality was excellent. After some months I opted hd package and found that this really the best picture quality, HD package is chargeable, but I think tata sky may charge HD package but they should show hd channels without ads, so that purpose of paying extra for hd channels will not hurt our pockets. Overall, my experience with tata sky id excellent. A good company and clear charges
