Although I had high expectations, my experience with the Nano LX has been disappointing.Firstly the problems : At 800 km, right hand side front wheel bearing gave way : had to replace the front pair of bearings, whilst still in running-in period of 1000 km.At 2000 km, getting tremendous vibration / uneven running, especially whilst reversing. 4th gear also not smooth. Rough idling. Dealer (Concord motors at Worli) not able to solve the problem. In fact, service is so poor, that the earliest appointment that I could get was one month away.
Mileage is abysmally poor : best that I could get was 10.8 km / litre and worst was 9.9 km / litre. When I mentioned these figures at the time of servicing, the workshop refused to believe, but when I asked some other owners, they reported similar poor figures.For such a small car + small capacity engine, these are horrible figures. Just to give a comparison, my 5 year old Tata Indigo is presently giving 14.5 km/ litre over the same route / with me driving :)
