I have bought Tata Indigo CS GLX(Petrol) in April 2009. GLX is the highest version in the category and posses the following features:
1.2 L MPFI(32 bit) Engine
65 PS(Power) and Torque 105 Nm
Power Steering, Power Windows(all 4), and booster assisted brakes
Seat belt(driver) reminder(Chim), low fuel and high speed indicators
Ample space for 5 persons
Interlock for preventing accidental shifting of gear from 5th to reverse.
R14 radial tyres
Body coloured bumpers, door handles, side rubber and beige interiors
380 litres boot space to store anything.
The car has good pick-up, maneuvers well in city conditions, road grip is good and delivers a mileage of 10.5-11 KM to a litre with 100% AC working. AC is highly effective and interior is quite. The looks are pretty decent and has a turning radius of 5 meter. The car is a good buy at 4.11 lacs(Delhi) on road price(including cash discount of Rs. 14, 000). I got seat cover, mud flap, foot mats, perfume and dikky mat free. At an additional Rs. 6, 000/-, I got stereo(JVC with 2 years warranty) from the Dealers with wiring specially designed for Tata Cars.
On the flip side, the engine sounds like a bit like Truck and gear shift(Reverse) is not smooth. Although plastic quality is not upto the mark, still for a price like this, one can afford to live with it!
Overall, a value for money car.
