Tarkarli is 392 KM from Pune. We started at 5 AM in the morning and reached Malvan at 1 PM considering half an hour for breakfast. We took following route. Pune – Kolhapur – Rankala Lake – Gagan Bawda – Karul ghat – Talere Naka – NH 17 towards Goa – Kasal – Take right to Malvan – Tarkarli. We stayed at MTDC resort for two days. A beautiful resort situated on the beach.
First day, we stayed in a Konkani house type accommodation and second day in a house boat type accommodation. Stay was memorable and value for money. Tarkarli beach is clean and scenic. In and around resort you will find many homely food joints. They serve malvani sea food meals, ukadiche modak, pohe and many more.
We enjoyed sea food meals of pomfret, bangada, prawns and surmaiyee. It is a paradise for sea foodies. Atithi Bamboo restaurant at Malvan is a must visit place because of sea food specialty and fair price. Following Places to visit other than Tarkarli beach. Sindhudurg Fort Rock Garden Devbaug sangam An early morning boat tour in the sea is pleasant and you may get darshan of dolphins.
