Tally is good for small businesses who can keep yearly books, i.e split companies yearly basis.
But for those who can't do that, tally will become slow from 2nd year onwards. As tally is not multi core complained application, it has lot of limitations. Even if you do customization, due to this limitation, things won't work out. Another application which can do the task in few seconds could take about 15 minutes in tally.
So if you are looking for an application which can handle small scale businesses, tally is the best to look for. Otherwise if you plan to grow your business, look for some other option.
Mobile application integration is very difficult. Too much limitations and lack of availability.
Customization is costly.
Generating reports will take 15 minutes or higher if there are lots of data. For my business having an annual turnover of 15Cr, some reports take over 10 minutes to generate despite using high speed server with SSD.
