Never book TAB CAB if you value time. Review on Tab Cab

I am a regular user of meru and city cab service in mumbai. However the shining cabs by tab cabs are hard to miss and very tempting. So for a journey from andheri to vashi i made a booking on their website. Once done here's the sms i received from them:

"your cab request has been noted and reference number is xyz. If your booking is confirmed(subject to availability) cab details will be sent 45 mins prior to pick up time.t & c apply"

Now tell me, whether anyone for whom reaching his destination at exact time is of utmost importance(say to catch a flight/interview/meeting etc) will use such a service?

I didn't. I simply logged on to city cabs and did my booking and they sent me a confirmation sms which reads "dear customer, your booking id for date 20th may 2012 is xyz. Thank you for chosing easy cabs" . Thats how simple it is. Not willing to take any chances i called up their call center to confirm whether they will be sending a cab. They confirmed that my cab is booked and only the cab number/driver details will be sent 45 mins prior to pickup.

I cancelled my tab cab booking on phone. As a formallity they asked why i am cancelling. I replied as your service is unreliable and i found meru/city cabs better.without listening to me any further he interrupted me and said."booking cancelled" .i replied to myself."good riddance":)

Further, my login on tab cab website was showing personal details of some other random person.with his cell number.address.the bookings he had done!

So much for data security and privacy. I mailed tab cab about this data privacy issue. Till the time of writing this aritcle.i am yet to hear from tab cabs.its nearly 3 days now!
