Gory, bloody, dark! that's how the movie is & I m glad that the advertisements were honest. BTW there r 2 characters from harry potter- alan rickman(snape) & the guy who played peter pettigrew. I just love allen's voice & it suits hischaracters perfectly-deep & melancholy.
Johnny is at his very best, all the scenes are masterpeieces of art work withsuchtalented actors around. U just need to have the maturity & insight to understand the pain & trauma of this demoni barber & his fury that he unleashes on the city which snatched his beloved from him.
I had no clue that musicals can also be dark & gruesome, after all I grew up wtching sound of music, which did had a happy ending. The ending is here is surprising & encompasses all tragedies that the characters have suffered till now.
In a nutshell- the movie is not for nymphy-phumbs. Dare devils. go & experiment-never forget, never forgive!
