We stayed in Sun n Sand at Shirdi on 1st May, 09 for a night. The rooms were excellent and had an extended balcony on the first floor overlooking the pool. There was a clear view in front, which was not blocked by other buildings. The pool was a major let down though. The spa was in another building in the same compound, but we did not try that. There is a complimentary drop to the temple and pick up though the temple is just a 10 minute walk.
The food served in the restaurant was pure veg in line with the holy city. The food was average. The reception desk was very courteous and the rooms were well maintained. We did have a little problem with the Central AC which was promptly resolved.
Overall, the service was good and we got value for our money. But, it surely does not fit in as a five star hotel-maybe four star at the most.
