Amazing movie .Salman Khan portrays the character of Rewri-based Sultan Ali Khan, who goes from an enthusiastic happy-go-lucky guy to a determined athlete, an arrogant star, and a depressed middle-aged man, determined for a comeback. Does he do justice? Absolutely.
Khan not only charms his audience in the usual way, but also depicts the more human side of the character. It all starts with Sultan falling for a wrestling champion, Aarfa(Anushka Sharma).Unlike her, he takes life easy, but decides to train and win at the Olympics to prove his worth to his lady love. He does win at the tournament but the fame gets to his head and his arrogance leads to his decline. Sultan doesn't give in and to get his identity back, decides to compete in Mixed Martial Arts(MMA) tournament, led by entrepreneur Akash Oberoi(Amit Sadh). But can the desi wrestler, now overweight and with a broken spirit, compete against the world's toughest judo, karate and capoeira champions?
