A few things about Styx the other reviewers missed out:
1) The seats next to the window facing MG Road - notice that they are not placed on 'firm footing'. The seats pulsate with the music and in rhythm with your head banging. Intentional or not, it works fine.
2) If you've had one of those nights where its 11 (when all Bangalore pubs close), you have beer running through your veins but there still is a lot on the table you dont want to leave - ask for Fountain Pepsi glasses and carry the beer out.
3) Saturday nights are the loudest. The evening starts off with a cover charge. Come back later around 9-9:30, you can get in for free.
4) Its not a competitor to Purple Haze or Pecos - it is in alternative.
5) Personally, I could go here once a month with it being a load of fun. It was just too noisy for my liking otherwise.
