Pathetic service by SCB. Review on Standard Chartered Bank

I opened account with SCB 1 years back regarding the fact that I would get advantage of withdrawing cash from any Visa network ATMs free of cost(as told by their executive at the time of account opening)

The another advantage was less quarterly balance maintainence as compared with HSBC.

But behind all these points were their many hidden costs.

You can withdraw cash from any Visa ATMs but the cost of balance enquiry is seperate.you are charged for that(HSBC was not charging me for that).

You have to use ATMs other than SCB because their ATMs are very less in number and manier times they were not working.

For their net banking I have to submit application manually and even after waiting for longer time there was no progress.I would ask their customer care but they would assure me to do in one week time.

Plus the biggest nuiscance for which I terminated account with SCB was 'Irritating phone calls from their customer service regarding investment options' since they are having tie up with Bajaj Allianz.i used to get hell lot of calls from them.

At the time of closing account the executives told me that I will not get such calls further from them and they were requesting me not to close the account but when I remained firm on closing my account they started behaving very rudely as if is it was my mistake and not theirs.

Beware of those cheaters.

The executives tell different at the time of account opening and the bank does something else.

Hence I won't recommend this bank at all

A bank cannot be worst than this
