Value for Money:

It’s the most beautiful and smallest mp3 player available. It is just a size of a lighter. It has a 3-line display over it’s mirror finish body. 1 Gb capacity is just enough for 250-300 songs, but is adequate. Battery life is never a problem, Sony claims it runs for 50hrs for a 3hr charge which is true. It charges enough during music transfer that I never had to charge it seperately. Transferring of songs is easy if you are familier with Sonic Stage, otherwise it takes a while to get familier with the program. It also has problems with transferring/playing non-copyright songs. But, so far so good for me. I would advise to press "NO" when it asks for "authorization" during first use. Earphones are good, but I expected better from Sony!

Sound quality is better after adjusting bass and treble, far better than i-pod especially at high volumes-no distortation! The on-screen display is difficult to see in sunlight, shade from hand is usually enough. Also this player is prone to scratches and damage from sweat. But Sony provides with a small carry bag and a belt clip with it, I recommend using them. FM is it’s biggest advantage, not many mp3’s have it, especially the i-pods. In total it’s worth only if you love FM radio. Otherwise you’ll be irritated with the problems this player has, which are many but manageable.
