Hi all, Myself being a software engg. I like those tech gadgets, and this is my quick review of the SonyEricsson P800 phone, over all I think it's great. I've always been a Nokia, Panasonic, fan, shifting from one model to another, I've finally had it with Nokia, for every model they release, they add just one or more new features and would occasionally remove another, like in 6100, they gave you a color screen, MMS etc, but reduced memory and phonebook capacity! Finally I SonyEricsson made the all-in-one phone I was waiting for. It's expensive, I paid a lot to get it, and here are my comments about it. I've been using it for just one week, so my review will be limited in a way, however I am going to write in this review the most important details I never found in other reviews I read before I bought the phone.

The phone comes with a charger, a synchronization cradle, a headset, an extra memory stick duo 16MB, a protective bag, a standard memory stick adapter, a flip removal replacement, manuals, and two CDs. - The limitation of the color of the phone is annoying, and they picked a little girly color, a light blue! Along with the design, this phone makes you really believe it was meant for girls, however for its massive features, I would totally pay less attention to the way it looks. (SMS) The SMS memory as the manual says can hold 255 messages. Like outlook, it holds a copy of sent messages in ''Sent items'' folder, also you have Inbox, Outbox, and Draft folders. But unfortunately you cannot create custom folders. - Those of you who use Nokia and like receiving funny drawing SMS messages, you can still view most of them correctly, especially if the carriage-return (enter key) was used to establish a new line when drawing those messages. - You can write any number of characters in a message, not just 160, and it will sent on separate linked messages. - Unfortunately, there is no delivery/failure reports for the SMS. I wonder why they dropped this feature even though it doesn't seem to be technically hard to do. (Phonebook) I read reviews that said the phonebook can hold 1000 entries only, maybe, I don't know. - Each phonebook entry contains a huge number of data items: first name, last name, job title, and 6 possible entries for numbers, selectable between phone, mobile, email, fax, web, you can make all of them mobile numbers for all the phone cares! Also you can fill in the company name, address, and home address. Not just that, you can add text comments on that contact, attach a photo, and add a voice tag for each number if you want. Also you can assign a different ring tone for each contact! - The most amazing thing is the synchronization, you can do all the above phonebook operations on Microsoft Outlook, and synchronize with the phone. I was afraid of the synchronization at first, I thought I didn't want to put every Outlook contact in my phone phonebook until I realized I can always make a new Contacts folder on outlook, and the synchronize software allows me to select that folder only to synchron. Yeah......
