This is a great video camera that gives great picture quality bundled in with tons of features that make it really easy to use. Bought in late 2006, this camera has been with us for over two years now, and has accompanied us on all our trips - both long and short. Operation is really simple and can be used by anyone, even those who are novices to the world of video cameras. Also has a still photo function, so it doubles up as a digital camera, as well.
When purchasing this camera, we got a free extra battery, but we haven't used it even once as the current battery life is more than enough for our needs.
Can be hooked up directly to the TV to replay the videos you've captured - this is how we view most of our videos. So far it's not given us any problems at all, even though our handling has not always been the best.
Connecting to a laptop and transferring videos / pictures is really easy - a USB interface allows easy connection. Also has a feature to directly burn DVDs, though I haven't tested that yet.
